Cumberland Caverns

Details: Our "Big Trip" this year is an overnight trip to Cumberland Caverns in Tennessee. Scouts who met their popcorn goal already have their cost covered. Parents and siblings, or scouts who did not sell enough popcorn will need to pay $50 per person to cover the trip and related activities. Since we will be spending the night underground we will not be able to cook for the Pack. Plan to eat beforehand but they do have a concession stand down in the cave for snacks and drinks. More specifics to come as we get closer to the trip. Please RSVP if you are planning on attending. You can pay online or in person at a meeting, and we need to finalize numbers and payment by 2/18.

More Details to know:

• Check-in times for overnight adventures are Monday through Friday 6:30pm central time. Saturday & Sunday check-in time is 5:30pm central time.
  If anyone arrives later than the scheduled check-in time, we cannot guarantee they will make the tour as we do not want to inconvenience other customers that arrived on time.

• Everyone attending the overnight or daytime adventure must fill out a release form prior to arrival. We will need these forms separate by “adult” and “child”, prior to handing them to the overnight manager at check-in.

• We recommend everyone eat prior to arrival. Dinner is not included in the package, but will be available for purchase and served from the snack bar in the cave when all of your tours are completed for the night.
  Breakfast is complimentary for all overnight packages and is served at 7:30am central time from the snack bar in the cave. Everyone departs from the cave around 8:45am-9am central time the following morning. The Snack bar menu is attached.
